Dear reader, the video is provided below; but first, a bit of information. A beach (from the French “plage” — a gently sloping seashore) is a relatively flat surface of the shore of a body of water. A beach is formed as a result of the accumulation of sediments.
A beach can also refer to a beach zone or coastal area specifically designated for swimming.
Beaches are classified by the composition of their surface layer into sandy, sandy-shell, pebbly, as well as boulder, gravel, coral, and other types.
- The surface layer of a sandy beach, both on land and partially in water, consists of sand.
- The surface layer of a sandy-shell beach consists of small shells and sand, which result from the breaking of shells by waves. An example of this is the beaches of the Kerch Peninsula (Kazantip Bay).
- The surface layer of a pebbly beach consists of pebbles.
