After wowing viewers with their incredible performance of Over The Rainbow Sydnie Christmas has won Britain’s Got Talent 2024. She was delighted to be crowned winner.
Once hosts Ant and Dec announced the results Sydnie, who was already emotional during the results, burst into tears and gripped Dec’s hand. She said: “I don’t know what to say!… I am overwhelmed with love… it is amazing, thank you so much!”
Viewers were very happy with the winner. One said: “Yessss Sydnie!! Totally deserving winner, what an incredible voice and talent”.
Another added: “SO HAPPY SHE WON !!!!! #BritainsGotTalent” and: “Well done to Syndie, she’s fantastic and deserves it so much. #bgtfinal #britainsgottalent”. A fourth added: “Sydnie Christmas you superstar #britainsgottalent” and: “I’m glad Sydnie Christmas won #BritainsGotTalent”.
Magician Jack Rhodes was the runner up and Sydnie now takes home the £250,000 cash prize and a spot performing at the 2024 Royal Variety Performance. Sydnie was Amanda Holden’s golden buzzer act and has been a hit with the rest of the judges, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli since her first audition.
Viewers at home decided the winner after voting for their favourite acts. Sydnie, who was also emotional after her performance in the final, received a standing ovation from the judges and the live audience for her excellent singing.
