Macklemore has found himself in the thick of a full-scale online conflict, with fans taking to the internet to criticize the rapper for yelling “f*** America” during the middle of his most recent performance.

On Saturday night, the singer-songwriter gave a performance at the Palestine Will Live Forever Festival in Seattle. The event was held in support of a charitable organization known as the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, which provides assistance to Palestinian refugees.

Observe the video clip… While he is roaming around the stage, Macklemore is encouraging people to utter the term “straight up” since he is not going to discourage them from doing so.

Afterwards, he utters the words “f*** America,” and his crowd erupts into a raucous round of applause just before the video footage concludes.

Since the conflict between Israel and Hamas has continued to escalate over the past several months, it has been rather typical for Macklemore to criticize the United States of America’s actions.

Macklemore released his song “Hind’s Hall” in the spring. The song is titled after the building at Columbia University that was taken over by students who support Palestine. The song criticizes Joe Biden and other politicians for their support of Israel in the war.Certain individuals who are in favor of Israel, like as the musician Matisyahu, have expressed their disapproval of Macklemore’s song and ideas, describing the tune as being completely anti-Semitic.

Macklemore’s sticking by Palestine though … seemingly happy to slam his own country in the process.

We’ve reached out to Macklemore’s rep … so far, no word back.
