Recently, baby Remy Francis Millar was born, weighing 5.88 kilograms! In general, the average weight of newborns in Australia is 3.3 kilograms. The baby appeared at the 38th week of pregnancy by caesarean section. 27-year-old Emma Millar, the mother of the girl, says that such a weight of the child was unexpected for her.
“She’s like a mini sumo wrestler,” the woman laughs. “I was expecting a big baby since I have gestational diabetes, but not that big. After 35 weeks, an ultrasound showed that she weighed about 4 kg, but we did not think that she would grow much.”
By the way, Remy is not the first large child in this family, their two-year-old daughter was born with a weight of 5.5 kilograms, and the oldest child, son Ace, was born 3.8 kilograms.
“When I walked with her in the hospital, there were always a crowd of people around – midwives, other new parents and visitors who asked about her size, because she is so much larger than all other newborns,” says the happy mother. “She definitely makes an impression.”
The baby became the star of the Internet, Her mother regularly posts her photos and shares the difficulties while caring after her. “The only problem that sometimes I have, is that I can’t keep her in my hands very long, here the father helps” says the mother.
