Celine Dion has publicly expressed her disapproval of former President Donald Trump’s use of her music at a recent presidential campaign event. The 56-year-old singer’s hit song, ‘My Heart Will Go On,’ from the movie Titanic, was played without her permission at a rally in Bozeman, Montana. In response, Dion’s management team and record label issued a statement stating that the use of her song was unauthorized and that she does not endorse it.

The statement shared on Dion’s social media page read, “…And really, THAT song?” Fans were quick to praise Dion’s direct response, with one person commenting, “‘…And really, that song?’ AUNTY CÉLINE IS PISSEDT.” Another person added, “‘…and really THAT song?’ is sending me into orbit!” The Trump campaign has not responded to the statement.

Interestingly, this incident comes after Dion made a triumphant return to the stage at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The performance was especially remarkable because it marked her comeback after being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) in 2022. Dion’s powerful rendition of Edith Piaf’s ‘L’Hymne A L’Amour’ from the Eiffel Tower showcased her resilience and talent.

Is Trump’s campaign being trolled from within? Someone on his staff decided to play Celine Dion singing “My Heart Will Go On” from Titanic at his Montana rally. Many consider Titanic a metaphor for Trump’s sinking campaign.

Despite her health struggles, Dion expressed her gratitude and joy for being able to perform at such a significant event. She shared on social media, “I’m honored to have performed tonight, for the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony, and so full of joy to be back in one of my very favorite cities!”
